FHSAA Girls Cross Country State Championships History

The Bolles girls won their first state cross country title in 2004 with Tony Ryan as their head coach. Since then, Coach Ryan has added 7 more state champion squads to the grand total of 12 state girls cross country team titles in the program's storied history (4 titles preceded his coaching tenure at Bolles). They are expected to grab title #13 as the overwhelming 2A favorites on Friday to break a current tie with 4A school HB Plant High School and coach Roy Harrison for most all-time state girls' cross country team championships by any school in Florida.

Coach Ryan has even more state titles to his resumé from his years coaching the Bishop Kenney girls during the 1990s with another 3 championships (1994, 1995, 1996) to his credit.
