The 2007 Foot Locker South Regional race saw a banner day for Florida girls distance running with 3 girls breaking 17 minutes on the course at McAlpine Greenway Park in Charlotte, North Carolina including runner-up Kayla Hale of Holy Trinity Academy at 16:56, third-place finisher Emilie Amaro of Cypress Bay at 16:58, and fourth-place finisher Brittany Koziara of Boone at 16:59 along with Wellington's Ashley Brasovan qualifying for nationals in sixth place at 17:07.
