Top Dozen Races To Watch From Kowboy Invitational

Watch some of the best races from this past weekend's Kowboy Invitational at Osceola High School in Seminole, Florida.

Girls 300 Hurdles - Nischa King (Rockledge) 44.93

A stellar battle to the very last hurdle between two juniors in Rockledge's Nischa King and Evans' Arbriel Scott produced one of the best races of the meet. King, who earlier won the 100 meter hurdles (14.47) and long jump (5.82 meters) with personal best performances, added a third individual victory on the meet by holding off Scott (44.95) for a 44.93 PR in the 300 meter hurdles.

Boys 3200 - Zack Poekert (Cypress Creek) 9:26.66

It was a Pasco County take over in Osceola County on Friday night with the final and featured race of the night in the fast section of boys 3200. After seeing Rockledge's Devin Makousky posting a swift time of 9:36 in an earlier unseeded heat, it was incumbent on the top runners in the fast section of the event to take it out fast. The Sunlake boys pack led by Alex Pena and Colby Robbins along with another star runner from their county in Zach Poekert of Cypress Creek pressed the pace. Poekert made the final move for the win in a 9:26 PR.
