3A Girls Results Merge From All 16 District Meets

Raquel Edwards of Dillard and Samantha Kavanagh of Northeast put on one of the fastest shows in all of the district meet races across the state when they both clocked times of 2:12 in the girls 800 meter run at the 3A District 14 meet last Friday with Edwards as the narrow winner. Add in last year's 4A state champion Cha'iel Johnson of St. Thomas Aquinas (2:16 at 3A District 15) into the mix at the regional and state meet, the potential for several under 2:10 in the next two races is real.
