Congratulations to Brady Pineo of Wesley Chapel HS. He has officially stamped his name among Florida's elite boys sprinters.
Running for the VAST Track Club he delivered a statement performance on the national stage last weekend at the PUMA New York International Showcase on Staten Island, sweeping the sprint double with convincing wins in both the 60m and the 200m. Pineo clocked 6.82 in the 60m final and a 21.02 in the 200m, showing his speed, strength, and composure against top competition.
The senior's Staten Island performance was no fluke-it was simply the latest chapter in a rapidly ascending 2026 indoor season. He currently ranks No. 2 in Florida in the 60m with a 6.80 personal best and No. 1 in the state in the 200m at 20.92. He remains undefeated in the 200m this indoor season, and his 20.92 places him US No. 2, trailing only Tate Taylor of Harlan and theTexas Titans (20.85).
Even more impressive, Pineo's 20.92 is not just fast for this season. The mark stands as the Florida No. 5 all-time indoor 200m performance, putting him alongside some of the state's most elite sprint names.
