The boys team competition has the first and possibly only matchup between the FL #1 ranked Belen Jesuit boys and FL #2 ranked Creekside boys. The Belen Jesuit dynasty looks unbeatable right now against in-state competition, but last year's 4A state runners-up Creekside have the best shot at knocking them off. Meanwhile, the top 3 teams in contention for the girls team titles are all reigning state champions from last fall in FHSAA 1A winners Cambridge Christian, 3A winners Ponte Vedra, and 4A winners Buchholz. Ponte Vedra edged out Buchholz in a sixth runner tiebreaker two weeks ago at Katie Caples Invite, while Cambridge Christian appeared to be the strongest team out of the gate at Cecil Field to start the season.
