Top performances from the Chiles Track & Field Relays on February 18th in Tallahassee.

Florida High School junior Micahi Danzy was a double winner in the sprints speeding to best times of 10.61 in the 100 meter dash and 21.67 to separate himself easily from the field. Danzy was the 2A state runner-up last spring as a sophomore in the 400 meter dash. 

Rachel Bethke of Maclay School similarly took care of business in the girls 100 and 200 meter dash with season opening times of 12.24 in the 100 meter dash and 25.29 in the 200 by the Cornell commit. 


Chiles junior Cade Swart, the older brother of FLYRA middle school state track champion Kyra Swart, won a grand total of 3 events on his home track in the boys 110 meter hurdles (15.24) and 300 meter hurdles (55.52) along with a 6 foot clearance in the high jump. 

Florida High sophomore Ay'keelah Green matched Swart in taking home first in three events including a sweep of the hurdles with times of 16.71 in the 100 meter hurdles and 1:09.10 in the 400 meter hurdles along with a winning leap of 16'3.25" in the long jump. 

The Rickards boys getting under 3:30 in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:28.17, while the Leon girls flirting with sub 10 minutes in the 4x800 meter relay race at 10:11 were among the more impressive relay winning times of the meet. Leon swept the distance races for both genders win victories in the DMR and 4x800.
