WATCH LIVE: FSU Relays (High School Only)
Another super bowl track & field event has been added to the live event streaming schedule within the state of Florida on MileSplit.com and flrunners.com as this year's high school races at the Florida State University (FSU) Relays scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 24th and 25th.
The meet has become a distance runner's dream destination for personal best times in the typical cooler conditions found in North Florida and Tallahassee especially for the Friday night 3200 meter races. No better example than last March's boys 3200 meter race which saw 5 Florida boys break 9 minutes in the same race in arguably the greatest distance race in Florida high school track history. Would expect nothing less than the best potential collection of Florida's top distance runners will seeing racing head to head on March 24th and 25th in Tallahassee at the FSU Relays including better the FHSAA State Finals that has 4 classifications to spread out the talent.
The great quality and competition is not just limited to the distances though at the FSU Relays as saw with last year's meet and the 260 MileSplit national elite performances including some national class times in the sprints, hurdles, relays, and field events including the crew of stars from Montverde Academy such as Micayah Holland and Zyaire Nuriddin, the throwers of Niceville, and returning hurdling greats such as Aleesa Samuel, Chelsi Williams, and Brittney Williams. All eligible to return potentially for this year's meet.
The meet is not limited to just competition within the state of Florida though as the meet is NFHS sanctioned for numerous states and welcome any one willing to seek out Florida's best to compete against this outdoor season at the FSU Relays, but make sure to contact high school meet coordinator Bob Thomas by email at BTTrackGuy@outlook.com to insure your state association sanction as soon as possible for the event.
Also an addition this year's meet will be adaptive division races for the 100 and 200 meter dash for an even more inclusive event for those athletes.
The high school portion of the FSU Relays will kick off at 6 PM on Friday, March 24th after the college competition has been completed and day 2 of the high school competition will resume on Saturday, March 25th at 7:30 AM. Note that we will not be broadcasting the college competition from the FSU Relays and only the high school competition from the FSU Relays on flrunners.com and MileSplit.com.
