Patrick Koon, a junior at Leon High School, won the boys 3200 meter run at the Bolles Bulldog Classic on Friday night in Jacksonville with a personal best and national leading outdoor time of 8:53.88.
Koon, who broke 9 minutes for the first time as the sophomore at the 2022 FSU Relays, led from start to finish in a deep field at Bolles (33 entrants under 10 minutes) to clock the sixth fastest 3200 meter time in Florida high school history.
