Girls 3200 Meter Run
The girls 3200 should be a good duel between Riverdale junior Ansley Kelly with a 11:27 personal best and Fort Myers sophomore Masha Dorofeev with a 11:32 personal best. Both of their best times came from the North Port Invitational when Kelly finished third and Dorofeev finished fourth.
Boys 3200 Meter Run
FSU signee Bernardo Barnhart of Palmetto Ridge might be missing out on running at his future home track this weekend at the FSU Relays, but will be the top seed and arguably the top boys distance runner at Dunbar this weekend as the fastest entrant in the 3200 meter run by 18 seconds with his 9:23 lifetime best.
Barnhart has a season best of 9:30 in the 3200 from his victory at the North Port Invitational earlier this month. He was third in last year's Guy Thomas Memorial Classic before ultimately finishing his 2022 season with a 7th place finish in the FHSAA 4A State Champs with his 9:23 PR race.
The chase pack after Barnhart should include Marc Gonzalez of Mater Lakes, Evan Casterline of Edgewater, Hector Toro of Naples, Jayden Saint-Paul of Palmetto Ridge, and Sebastian Coraspe of Mater Lakes all having broken 10 minutes for 3200 in the past.
