Florida's Youth Impressive at Brooks PR Invitational

Here's a look at how the Florida entries faired in the Brooks PR yesterday in Seattle, Washington.


Jr. Girls 400m
Cai Culpepper  has been more than impressive as just a 7th grader.  She won the Jr. Girls 400m in a US# 15, 53.66.  From Ruskin, Fl and Running for the Tampa Xpress Track club she has been unbeatable the last two years.

Jr. Girls 800m
Admiral Farragut Academy  7th grader, Anaiah Berry, was 8th in the Junior Girls 800m in 2:23.30.



Jr. Boys Mile
Belen Jesuit 8th grader, Marcelo Mantecon, was dominant in the Middle School State Meet and was 3rd in the 3A Boys 3200m at the State Meet, running a 9:17.03.  He won the Jr. Boys Mile in 4:26.60.

Girls 100m
Rachael Uvieghara, the 4A 100m State Champion from Palm Harbour University HS was 5th in  the Girls100m in 11.61.

Girls 100m Hurdles
Somerset Academy So. Aleesa Samuel, the 3A 100, 200 and 100H State Champion, was 4th in the 110H  in 13.43.

Girls 400m
Skyler Franklin, a 9th grader from Western HS, was 2nd in the girls 400m with a 53.57.

Boys 100m

Amari Turner of Sanford HS, a Harvard commit, was 2nd to Jacob Andrews of Bellingham, WA in the boys 100m.  Andrews went 10.634.  Turner, 10.636.

Boys 110 Hurdles                                                                                                                      Montverde Sr. and Iowa commit, Kai Graves-Blanks, was 4th in the 110H in 13.79.          

Boys 400m                                                                                                                                    Rockledge Sr. Rios Prude, Jr. was 6th in the boys 400m with a 47.85      He is the State 3A 400m champion in 46.83.

Boys 800m                                                                                                                                     Unv. of Florida commit and the State 4A 800m Champion, Miguel Pantojas from Hagerty, was 8th in the boys 800m in 1:50.24.
