Latest XC team scores rankings for the FHSAA 3A boys classification as of September 26th.
For the second year, Graham Myers and the Fleming Island boys traveled up to Georgia to compete against some of the best teams from that state at the Wingfoot Classic under the lights on Saturday night.
Myers and Fleming Island held their own against Georgia's best with Myers running a season best of 15:26 to finish fourth place individually and lead the team to a fifth place showing in the championship race with a 16:23 team average. The squad had season bests virtually across the board for his teammates as well with John Keester IV (15:51), Roman Mollicone (16:39), Jacob Campbell (16:56), and Andrew Boyer (17:01).
After finishing third in last year's 3A state meet, Fleming Island is looking to bump one more spot to get on the podium as a runner-up squad in 2023 but will have to contend with Naples, Ponte Vedra, Satellite, and Tampa Jesuit amongst others also with the same goals.
