MVA and IMG are in the Spotlight at NBNI

Montverde and IMG share the spotlight at the New Balance Nationals. The two schools bring 11 US Indoor Top 10 performances into the competition.

In the girl's 60m Montverde Sr. Adaejah Hodge is ranked US #2 with a 7.24.  She is ranked US #2 in the 200m with a 23.47 this season. She is the defending NBNI champion in the 200 running a new National Scholastic Indoor 60m time of 22.33.

Hodge's teammate, Sr. Alivia Williams joins her in the 200m.  Williams has run 23.98 which is US #15.  Williams is also in the 400 where she has the US #3 time of 53.47.   US#7 is Montverde Sr. Alivia Smith (54.15).  Smith was 4th last year in 54.81.

The Montverde girls showcase their depth in the sprints in both the 4x200m and 4x400m Relays.  They are ranked US #1 in both.  The girls ran a 1:34.78in winning the Milrose Games 4x200 and a 3:37.63 4x400 in winning the VA showcase.  The Montverde girls are the defending 4x400 champions running 3:45.69 last year.


In the boy's races, Sr. Caine Stanley of IMG is ranked US #2 in the 200 with a 21.04. Stanley won the Milrose Games HS 300m in 32.85.

MVA Sr. Jayvian Greene is US #10 in the 400m with a 47.69.  Greene was 7th in the 200 last year with a 21.41 and DNQ in the 400 finals with a 47.95.

IMG is the defending 4x200m champion. In 2023 they ran a 1:26.06.  They are currently ranked US#3 with a 1:26.06. 

In the Pole Vault, Montverde Sr. Alex Georgiev is ranked US #10 with a vault of 16-06.
