Koon, Franklin and Buchholz Win at NIN on Saturday

In a 5000m field that included 7 State champions, Leon Sr. Patrick Koon pulled away from California's Manny Perez in the last 200m to win the NIN 5000m in a US #1 13:59.69. The Stanford commits time is a FL #1 All-Time and a US #3 All-Time.

Skyler Franklin demonstrated her speed and strength in winning the NIN girl's 400m championship.  Skyler, running for Miramar, ran a US #2 53.44 in her win.  Interview with Skyler after 400m win.


Sr. Evan Fleming ran the 3rd leg in the 4x 1 Mile for the Buchholz boys running as Dreamville TC-Fl. His 4:18 put the team within reach for Riley Smith who anchored in 4:10 for the win in a US #1 17:25.44.  Smith, who ran a 4:02 in the DMR on Friday, took the lead with 400 to go and closed it out running a 58.48 last 440.  Joing Fleming and Smith were Jr. Gino Palazzolo and Jr. Calum Watson.  Interview after 4x 1 Mile Championship.
