Middle Schoolers Sydney Johnson and Nia Armstrong won at the NBNO. Both 8th graders, Johnson won the Girls Middle School Mile and Armstrong took the Middle School 100mH.
Johnson, running for the St. John's Striders led from the second lap, negative splitting, and winning in a time of 5:02.60. Johnson split: 1:14.84, 2:32.22 (1:18.39), 3:49.13 (1:15.92), 5;02.60 1:13.47). She was 2nd in last fall's FLYRA Middle School State XC meet. She will be joining her sister Alyson Johnson at Creekside this fall,

Nia Armstrong, running for the Vast Track and Field Club, won the 100mH in 13.99. She won the 100mH and was 2nd in the 300mH at the FLYRA Middle School State Track and Field Championships running 13.80 and 26.67.
