It's all over social media that Zamarii Sanders has announced his transfer from American Heritage to Cardinal Newman for his Junior year. Last week Sanders won the 100m (10.27) Championship NBNO and was 2nd in the 200m (20.75). Earlier this year he anchored American Heritage to an All-Time Florida 4x100m record of 39.39 and was the 3A State 200m Champion (20.58).
Sanders is the youngest son of Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders and on the field, is following in his father's footsteps as a Wide Receiver. Purportedly, the decision to transfer schools was based upon his desire for more playing time as a WR and the expectations of a D1 scholarship. On the track, he has established himself as the fastest returning sprinter in Florida and one of the fastest in the nation. A D1 scholarship would certainly be a strong possibility for Sanders if he continues on the path he is on.
