Marcelo Mantecon has established himself as one of the nation's best young distance talents. Mantecon's 8:50.02 3200m at the 2024 Arcadia Invitational was voted the No.1 Florida performance of the Year. The sophomore from Belen Jesuit's time, run as a freshman last spring, is the All-Time U.S. No.1 3200m time for a freshman. He also has the freshman All-Time U.S. No.1 ranking in the 1600m of 4:10.88 that he ran in the FHSAA 3A Outdoor State Finals.
