Joseph Socarras of Belen Jesuit, on the left above at the Southern Showcase, is the poll winner of the Florida Boys XC Performer of the Week September 2 - 7 (Week 3) with 42% of the votes. He's the #2 runner on the #5 Nationally ranked Belen team and is #4 Ranked in Florida for All-Division. Demetrie Meyers of Buchholz was a close runner-up with 38%.

It's no secret that he prefers the track where he is the 2X defending 3A state champion in the 1600m winning in 2023 with a 4:13.53 and in 2024 with a 4:04.53. In addition to the 1600m, he has PR's of 49.14 in the 400m, 1:51.32 in the 800m, and 9:15.09 in the 3200m.
