Berkeley Prep Sr. Liam Jordan was 2nd to Marcelo Mantecon at the Florida Horse Park Invitational and is ready to run and has shown he is ready to run fast. He is currently ranked #2 in the State. Indian Rocks Sr. Blake Young is the defending champion. He won last year with a 15:18. Sr. Caden Baker of George Jenkins was 5th last year in 15:34. Watch for Jordan, Young, and Baker to push the pace early. Young was just off of the meet record 15:15.83 last year and with the dry course conditions, and the competition, we could see the record fall. The other sub-16 returners from last years race are #11, Sr. Andrew Marino of Bishop Verot who was 11th i 15:43.81, Jr. Mark Meister of the Cambridge School who was 13th in 15:53.28, #15 Sr. Jack Marshall of Naples who went 15:57.81, Naples Jr. Reece Lolly who was 17th in 15:58.69, and So. Martin Mendoza of Immokalee who was 18th in 15:58.97.
