Over the weekend, George Jenkins senior Chelsi Williams got her indoor season off to an early start at the North Texas Showcase in Haslet, Texas. The meet showcases the jumps and the shot put. Williams, jumping for the Lakeland Incredibles, was second in the Elite girl's long jump with a leap of 6.17m (20-3.00) and third in the Elite girl's triple jump with a mark of 12.37m (40-7.00).

Williams is a six-time 4A FHSAA state champion. She won her freshman year in the triple jump with a jump of 12.16 and the long jump with a leap of 5.87. In her sophomore year, she was first in the 4A long jump (5.94) and the 100mH with a 13.44. As a junior, in 2024, she defended her triple jump title with an 11.85 and her 100mH title with a 13.64.
