The runner-up in the voting was senior Aiden Aysun of Oviedo High School, who won the Seminole Athletic Conference XC Championships with a 15:17.70.

The candidates were selected based on their performances as the top finishers at the FSU Pre-State Invitational in their FHSAA Division, including Independent, as well as the top Underclassman who had not previously won the Performer of the Week recognition.
Senior
Evan Spreitzer of the
Holy Trinity Academy was the runner-up at the FSU Pre-State Invitational with a 14:58.90. He was one of two boys under 15:00 and was the leading 1A boy in the race.
Junior
Will Moss of the
Montverde Academy was 13th at the FSU Pre-State Invitational with a 15:29.40. He was the top 2A boy in the race.
Senior
Joshua Hicks of
Chiles HS was 5th at the FSU Pre-State Invitational with a 15:12.00. He was the top 3A boy in the race.
Junior Sean Cunningham of the Providence School was 7th at the FSU Pre-State Invitational with a 15:18.90. He was the top finishing undergraduate who has not previously won the Performer of the Week recognition.
