The 2026 Indoor Season is Underway. Here are the Top Florida Boys and Girls Returners in the Shot Put and the Weight Throw.
BOYS
The leading mark in Florida for the Boys' shot Put was set in 2004 by Beau Burroughs of Tampa Jesuit HS at the Nike Indoor Classic. Burroughs threw 18.52m in a third-place finish. He is the only Florida boy to have gone over 18m indoors. Two others have gone over 17m: Sam Romerhaus of IMG threw 17.74 in a 10th-place finish at the New Balance Nationals Indoor in 2023, and junior Sebastian Albizu of IMG has thrown 17.05m in a third-place finish at last year's University of Michigan High School showcase.
