The Eagle girls ran a 17-second PR, finishing ninth the deepest distance medley ever (four of the top eight all-time fastest times in the race) with a time of 12:08. Sophomore sensation Robyn DeBenedet (3:44 in the 1200) combined with classmate Danielle Boree (1:03 quarter) and sterling seniors Stephanie Paulk (2:25 800) and Kara Scanlin (4:54 for 1600) for what looks to be the best time EVER run by a Florida team.
Earlier in the night, Scanlin broke her PR by 6-7 seconds, runnning the full mile for a 4:55.28 performance, good for ninth place and easily the fastest Florida girls\' mile of the year.
The University of Virginia bound junior ends her prep career with nine state titles, two state records (three-mile cross country and 3200m track), the #2 all-time Florida two-mile (10:27.25 on Friday), and a member of the #1 all-time Florida Distance Medley squad.
Stephanie Paulk ends an equally impressive career that with her leadership put the Eagles\' women\'s distance program on the map.
Congratulations to all the girls and to Coach Kendall, who has done a phenom job with these girls--everyone who knows them knows that the greatest thing about them is their character. Go Eagles!
