While no middle school boys qualified for the 2026 FHSAA Outdoor State Finals, a handful of middle school girls made their presence known, competing against Florida's top high school athletes in Jacksonville.
The youngest competitors at the meet delivered several impressive performances across the sprints, distance races, and field events, showing that the next generation of Florida talent is already emerging. They are the future stars.
Northside Christian 6th-grader Carter Grigg turned in a pair of standout sprint performances in 1A. Grigg clocked 12.27 in the 100m into a headwind and later ran 26.16 in the 200m, competing against athletes several years older on the state's biggest stage.
Montverde Academy middle schooler Angelica Wolfe delivered one of the top underclass performances of the meet in the 2A 800m. Wolfe won in 2:11.70.
