Marcelo Mantecon (Belen Jesuit, 2027) ran an 8:35.33 in a 2nd-place finish at the Arcadia Invitational. His time has him ranked U.S. No. 2, U.S. No. 1 for juniors, and U.S. No. 2 all-time for juniors. It is Florida No. 1 all-time for juniors and a Florida No. 2 all-time.
2026 Escambia County Track & Field Championships, moving him to the No. 2 spot in the rankings in Florida.
