TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State track & field/men’s cross country coach Bob Braman has announced the National Letter of Intent (NLI) signing of Columbus High School (Miami, Fla.) distance runner Armando “AJ” del Valle.
Del Valle is the defending State Champion in the 4A 3200 meter run. He is also part of the defending State Champion 4x800 meter relay team.
Del Valle is a five-time All-State honoree in track and a two-time All-State honoree in cross country.
“We are really excited to sign AJ,” Braman said. “He’s one of the most talented and versatile high school distance runners to come out of the state of Florida in the last five to six years. I truly believe that he’ll come in right away and have a major impact on our program.”
“AJ is the kind of athlete that can help us continue to compete for national championships in both cross country and track & field”.
