Gatlin Gearing Up for Worlds: 'I play by the rules'

Justin Gatlin has waited a long time for his chance to get back on the track, and this spring he got it. After serving a long suspension for alleged doping violations, Gatlin is primed to compete for Team USA again next week at IAAF Worlds in Daegu, Korea. He is hoping to earn a spot in the finals there and possibly reclaim his place on the podium, after earning three medals at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

The Florida native has been training under veteran coach Brooks Johnson at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney with other Olympic hopefuls such as David Oliver. Johnson earned 2010 USATF Coach of the Year honors, largely for his work with Oliver. In this interview, Gatlin talks about Worlds, his emotions, and the suspension. He still adamantly denies any wrong-doing and says "I play by the rules... even when I felt like I was being wronged."
