Valentina Sarcos of Palmer Trinity set a new meet record in the rain and mud with a 10:56.61 at the Spanish River XC Invitational. The eighth-grader is undefeated this season and is No. 3 in the Florida Middle School girls' 3K cross-country rankings.

Three girls ran sub-11:00 in week five of the 2026 middle school season. Alice Ilea of the Red Sea Running Club remains the No. 2-ranked middle school girl in the state and had the fastest time over the weekend. 8th grader Camila Boucher of the Boca Warriors Track Club moved to No. 4 in the rankings with her 2nd-place finish at Spanish River in 10:57.77.
