Meet Summary

Taylor Park in Largo welcomed the area's best runners for the Pinellas County Athletic Conference Championships. It would be a bittersweet send off for longtime Seminole coach Bruce Calhoun who is retiring at the end of the year after 29 seasons as the Warhawks head man. Seminole senior Jacob Hudak won the race in 16:11 which was thirty-five seconds faster than Countryside's Paul McKenna who finished as the runner-up. Hudak's first place finish combined with Nick Homme and Keegan Flynn placing in the top five gave the Warhawks the team trophy with 30 points. Osceola was second with 72.

In the girls race it was Osceola's Alexis Irwin looking to cap off her senior season with her third consecutive PCAC title. Irwin lived up to the billing going head to head with another Alex, Alex Eaton of St. Petersburg. She finished in 19:08. Eaton was runner-up 19 second behind her clocking in at 19:27. Irwin's win wasn't enough though to give her squad the team title as they fell four points short 74 to 70.  Seminole swept the meet winning both the boys and girls team trophies.
