Salute To Seniors: Jordan Brown - P.K. Yonge
What was your most memorable race?
My most memorable race would have to be state this year.
Who would you consider your biggest competition?
I would say the Holy Trinity and the trinity prep guys, but there all awesome guys.
Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most?
Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most?
My greatest accomplishment would have to be medaling at state this year in three events for track, and medaling at the state cross country meet.
If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
I don't think I would change much except for racing a little bit more aggressive and smarter at some races.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
The most difficult obstacles I had to overcome was not having my teammate and fellow senior Derek bolser not there for all of the track season, and for some of the cross country season due to an illness called Lyme's Disease.
What will you miss the most?
What will you miss the most?
I'd have to say that I'm going to miss my teammates and all of the friends that I have made throughout the years from different teams around the state.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Some advice I would have to give to younger runners is to stay true to your training, stay positive even when things don't go how you plan push through, and beleive an trust in God and things will be alright in the end.
How have your coaches played a role in your life?
Well I have had a couple coaches throughout my last couple years of running at P.K. Yonge and they all have had a significant role in my life, and have taught me many life lessons that I will keep with me forever.
What are your college plans?
I plan on attending Nova southeastern.
Who would you like to say thank you to?
I'd like to thank my parents, high school coaches Josh Horn, Randy Hollinger, Dave Milliman, Ritzy Ettinger, and Erin Gallagher. They have all taught me many things throughout my career at P.K. Yonge, and I can honestly say I wouldn't be here without them. I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who has helped push me to be all that I can be.
