Apalachee Regional Park is hands down the nicest cross country course in the state of Florida. With fantastic footing the whole way, a net downhill course, temperatures in the 50s, and the adrenaline of a state meet we are sure to see some fantastic performances and blistering times!There will be many different racing tactics implemented by the runners. Some will work out and some wont. So let’s walk through the course and talk about some of the strategies that you might witness on Saturday morning.

Florida Southern Men Win SSC Title, Set Sights On Nationals Kyle Butler Nov 01, 2013

The Florida Southern Men’s Cross Country team recently won a record 16th Sunshine State Conference title. The Moccasins scored 34 points by placing five runners in the top 14, with their top three finishers placing third, fourth and fifth, respectively. The Moccasins are currently ranked 1st in the South region of Division 2 and they know that there is a huge target on their back. They do not have time to celebrate. There are other goals to be met. The top three teams from each region make it to the National Championship meet to be held on Nov. 23rd in Spokane, Washington.

Kayla Hale Makes Decision, Joins Brasovan as Blue Devil Kyle Butler Dec 16, 2008

Over the past four years Kayla Hale has become a constant on cross county courses in the state of Florida and beyond. Hale’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed. Schools came from near and far, and after months of visits, calls and soul searching a decision has been made. Kayla Hale will become a Duke Blue Devil.

She recently finished 5th at the 4A state Cross Country meet and was the 5th florida girl at Footlocker South with a time of 18:04.
