There is a bit of a buzz around the University of Kentucky's track and field/cross country program. Those around the athletic department see the sport as ready to take off under newly appointed head coach Edrick Floreal, but it won't happen overnight. Floreal and his staff have brought along a system from Stanford that many of his athletes are new to.

By the end of the drive, the duo had collected 2,100 pairs of used shoes to donate to Soles4Souls, a non-profit organization in Nashville, Tenn. Year two was even better.

Senior John Richardson’s under-four minute mile run ranks top-three in the nation and as a result the Southeastern Conference recognizes Richardson and freshman Brendan Ames this week for their awesome performances at last weekend’s Rod McCravy Memorial Track Meet.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Junior Andy Fryman came away with Kentucky\'s first Southeastern Conference outdoor title since 2002 as he won the shot put competition at Saturday\'s day two portion of the 2006 SEC Championships at John McDonnell Field.
