The Alligator Lake Invitational will consist of a High School, Middle School and Open 5k Run. The High school 5k will have A boys and A girls Varsity Green & Invite, as well as an Green JV race. Varsity races are allowed to run 10 athletes and JV unlimited entries. The middle school will have a boys and girls 3k race and will be a super qualifier for the middle school state meet. The combined community 5k run will follow the last JV Race. Varsity Races will be cut off at 25 minutes for Boys and 30 for Girls. Middle School races will be cut off at 20 minutes. Runners will be pulled from the course after those race times have passed. The Invite will consist of 20 teams that will have invitations sent out to them in August. The other two Varsity races will be capped off at 30 teams per race. If you feel your team should be in the Invitational races please e-mail me with your athletes times. There will be no assigned starting boxes; it will be first come first serve. The Community run is a non-timed race. There will be a running clock at the finish line so runners can get their own time. Coaches please let your parents know that there are NO PETS allowed in the park. Any dogs brought into the park will have to remain in a vehicle. This is the host site for the FHSAA Region 1 1A, 2A, 3A & Region 2 1A. This event will be sanctioned for Fl, GA & AL.
Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick up will start when the course opens Friday at Noon and end at 7 p.m. It will open again Saturday morning at 5:30 a.m. when the gates open. Coaches must pay online to enter so no checks will be accepted the day of the event. Coaches please make sure you get your packets 30 minutes before your race to ensure enough time to get the timing chips signed out and onto your runners shoes.

Online Entry
Registration will be on www.flrunners.com. To be able to register your team you must pay your team first to get a password to open up the registration. Payments can be made by credit card or check. Check must be made out to Half-Mile Timing Inc. please put an e-mail address on the note so we know who to e-mail the password too. Mailing address is 5745 SW 75th Street #303 Gainesville, Fl. 32608. To pay by credit card please e-mail me for these steps. Registration will end Tuesday the 17th at midnight. High School & Middle School coaches please enter your entire roster not just your Varsity runners. Any additions or changes after the entry deadline and day of race is $5 per change, this includes spelling errors as well as additions. Coaches wishing to participate on Friday please e-mail me dusty@halfmiletiming.com.
Proper way of installing timing Chips
Coaches will be responsible for going through their team packet before the race making sure all assigned chips for their athletes are in the packet. Coaches will also be responsible for collecting the chips back from their athletes and returning them to the chip check in/out table located under the pavilion. Any chips lost will result in a $20 per lost chip charge to the school. If runners have shoes without laces it is up to that athlete and coach too properly install their timing chip to the athletes shoe.
Team Awards
High School Varsity Orange, Green, Invite and Middle School top 2 overall teams Boys and Girls will get team trophies. Winners will receive a 3ft gator and runner up will receive a 2ft gator.
Individual Awards
HS Varsity top 10 receive medals
11-50 ribbons.
HS JV top 3 medals 4-25 ribbons
Middle School top 10 medals
11-50 ribbons.
Community open 5k run top 3 male and female overall will get medals.

The course is 90% in the shade on nice grass trails around the beautiful Alligator Lake Park. The course will be marked with mile markers as well as kilometer markers. The Course has been the host site of the Alligator Lake run 2008-present, Greater North Florida (Columbia High School) 08,09, 2009 FHSAA 3A District 2, 2011 FHSAA Region 1 1A, 2A & 3A.

Event shirts will be on sale for $12.00 pre- sale till September 12th. Day of the event will be $15.00 cash $16.00 credit card and in limited quantity at the event .To be guaranteed a t-shirt you can pre order by e-mailing dusty@halfmiletiming.com. We will need team name, quantity & shirt sizes.
Order must be sent and paid for by Thursday September 12th.
Parking
There will be a $5.00 per vehicle charge for spectator parking. Team buses and team vans are free, if a parent has an athlete in the car they still have to pay $5. Coaches please make sure your parents are aware of this!
