Note that these instructions are on the US Portal and you will have to return to your state site to actually find your team and enter the meet.

Registration:

All Registration will be done through fl.milesplit.com. Registration will CLOSE Tuesday, April 9th at 5:00PM. All athletes participating in the District Meet must be entered by this time No additions will be accepted after registration closes. All SCRATCHES must be submitted by NOON on Thursday, April 11th to Erik Lipham at liphaeri@berkeleyprep.org. After the Thursday deadline, all athletes entered into an event must compete in that event (or at least start). Any athlete that does not participate in an event in which he/she is entered, will be scratched from all remaining events, including relays.

There is a 4 athlete limitation to all individual events and 1 relay team per school

Advancement Rules:

The first four contestants in each individual event and the first four teams in each relay event will advance to the Regional Meet (Thursday, April 18th at Astronaut HS in Titsuville). All Ties will be broken for advancing.

Field Events (Horizontal Jumps and Throws):
The best 8 distances in each preliminary event (first 3 throws and jumps) will move on to finals for an additional 3 throws or jumps. Best mark from all 6 distances will be scored. All legal marks will be measured.

Preliminary Events:
The winner of each heat plus the next fastest times, up to 8 athletes per event, will move on to finals.

Non-Preliminary Events:
All heats against time, the fastest 4 athletes will advance to the Regional Meet

Awards:

The District Champion and Runner-up will receive trophies at the conclusion of the event. The top 8 athletes / relay teams in each event will receive ribbons. In an attempt to reward athletic accomplishment, we will present the top 8 athletes on an award stand in the field on the front straight-away following each event. Please listen for announcements, especially the field events, for the athletes to report to the award ceremony location.

** Remember: in 2A Classification, the 400m dash is run as finals only, no prelims**

Concessions and Hospitality:
The concessions stand will be open throughout the day. There will be coachs hospitality food available with location to be announced at the coachs meeting.

Parking on campus will be the same as in previous meets we have held here at Berkeley: buses are to park on the dirt lot next to the theater, and visitors can park there also.

Cost is $6.00 (FHSAA)

Team tents are to be set up behind the home bleachers on the field.
