1st Annual Tri-County XC Championships
Bobby Jones Golf Club, Sarasota
Thursday October 17th 2013
For the first time everSarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties will hold their respective County Championships as one meet.
Time Schedule: Coaches Meeting: 4:00pm
Girls Race: 4:30pm
Boys Race: 5:00pm
(Unlimited participants are allowed in each race i.e. JV and Varsity run together).
Awards: Team Champions will be crowned within the 3 counties and an overall Tri-County Champion will be crowned for each gender.
Riverview, as this years hosts, will provide awards for Sarasota County and the Tri-County. There will be a champion and runner-up trophy for each gender and we will go 10 deep in individual awards. The designated Manatee and Charlotte County host schools will be responsible for their traditional awards.
Entries: Mail entry form and fee (Please make checks payable to RIVERVIEW CROSS COUNTRY) to Riverview H.S., Attn. Jason Means, One Ram Way, Sarasota, FL 34231.
Entry Fee: $100 for both a boys and girls team. Entries are limited to public and private schools in the 3 counties and must be paid by October 14th.
Athletes must be entered on www.flrunners.com by midnight on Monday October 14th. Late fees will be assessed for coaches failing to enter by the deadline.
Admission: All spectators will be charged $5 for admission to the golf course. Please pass that information on to parents/fans. This will offset insurance costs of the event.
Golf Carts: Coaches may rent golf carts for the meet for a reduced rate of $10.
Facility Rules: All athletes and spectators are forbidden from treading on the greens or tee boxes before, during, or after the races.
