Manatee County Varsity Championship
The Manatee County Varsity Championship track and field meet will be hosted by SSES at St. Stephen's Episcopal School on Tuesday, April 5, 2016. All coaches, athletes, and managers enter at no charge with proper I.D. Admission fees will be charged for all other students and adults.
TEAMS: Bayshore, Braden River, Bradenton Christian, IMG, Lakewood Ranch, Manatee, Palmetto, Southeast and St. Stephens
SHARE OF EXPENSES:

ENTRIES:
Entries due by 11:59 pm on Friday, April 1, 2016.
Entries must be submitted onwww.flrunners.com please use the full name of the athlete (no nicknames), grade, gender, event & mark. Scratches will be done at the coaches meeting, but no additions or changes to entries. Coaches please double check your entries and print yourself a copy.
** You may have 4 entries per event for individual events and only one relay per school/per gender.
SCHEDULE:
3:00 - coaches meeting
3:30 - field events
4:00 - 4x800 relay
5:00 - running finals
SCORING: Individual events 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1, Relay 10-8-6-4-2-1
AWARDS:
Team trophies: 1st & 2nd place
Individual medals: 1st to 3rd places
Individual ribbons: 4th to 8th places
ASSIGNMENTS:
Field events and relay exchange zone assignments will be made at the coaches meeting at 3:00. If you have a preference for which event you work, please contact Coach AJ Brown (below)
FIELD EVENTS:
There will be 3 efforts in the jumps & throws (ALL Finals).
Order: Girls shot and Boys discus then reverse at the completion of each event.
Girls high jump then boys. Boys long jump followed by girls.
Field event assignments:
Shot Put - Braden River and Bayshore
Discus - Palmetto and Lakewood Ranch
High Jump - Braden River and Bayshore
Pole Vault - Lakewood Ranch
Girls Long Jump and Triple Jump - Palmetto and Southeast
Boys Long Jump and Triple Jump - Manatee and St. Stephens
RUNNING EVENTS:
No prelims All finals are seeded.
Order: Girls then boys in each event
Relay Zone assignments: 1-Southeast and Palmetto, 2-Braden River and Lakewood Ranch, 3-Bayshore and Manatee
CHECK IN:
Athletes must check in to the clerk at first call. Please let your athletes know so they will not be disqualified. **Uniform rule in effect.
** The only people allowed on the infield are athletes while they are competing and meet officials while they are officiating. There will be no exceptions for this. Once the field events are completed, there should be only meet officials on the infield. The only entrance to the track will be through the clerks table.
Warm-up area: Teams may set up tents, tarps, etc. and warm-up on the softball field only.
There will be concessions at this meet and hospitality for coaches.
