Situated in one of Central Florida's more challenging and unique locations, the course will take runners on a beautiful, yet demanding, course of grass trails punctuated by rolling hills. You will run through old orange groves, pine trees, by creeks and around lakes. You may even have the opportunity to see equestrian riders, wild turkeys, deer and other wild life. Course Information
The course will begin and conclude in close proximity to the sand volleyball courts, midway between the Dixie Lake parking area and RV campground. The course takes place on the equestrian trails on the park's south boundary. Runners will encounter gentle rolling grassy trails and groves of tall pines. Evidence of the park's former orange grove existence is present throughout. It is a spectacular and scenic route. The route offers spectators several opportunities for viewing. The course has been wheeled several times to ensure the 5000 meter distance.
