John Tasopolos Invitaional was created due to the generosity and for the legacy of John Tasopolos. John graduated from St. Petersburg High in 1960 and was a member of the Track and Field team. John graciously established a Scholarship Foundation to recognize students and athletes who exemplify athletic or community achievement, promote good sportsmanship, encourage and maintain high scholastic achievement, carry themselves with integrity at all times and to assist those in need with the costs of higher education.

Schedule of Events:
Coaches Meeting at 8:00 a.m.
Prelims will begin at 8:30am
-100m meter hurdles (girls only)
-110m meter hurdles (boys only)
-100m meter dash
-4 x 100m meter relay
-400m meter dash
-200m meter dash
Field Events 8:30am (no prelims for Field Events, straight finals)
-Girls / Boys Long Jump, Triple Jump to follow (Each gender has their own pit)
-Girls Discus, Boys to follow
-Boys Shot Put, Girls to follow
-Girls Pole Vault, Boys to follow
-Boys High Jump, Girls to follow
Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus 3 attempts each athlete, no finals
-Javelin Throw to follow discuss (start no later than 11am)
Finals will begin 30mins after the completion of Prelims (Finals will begin even if Field Events are not complete)

-1600m meter run
-4 x 100m meter relay
