**Update as of 8/31**

As these weeks have gone by, new information continues to emerge.  The race committee met today and decided to reinstate the college race on Friday morning.  The club race will still happen, but we wanted to make sure that the college coaches knew that their races are back on the schedule. I have updated the race schedule below and modified the 8/18 update to make sure there are not conflicts.

**Update as of 8/18**

Good morning coaches.  A lot has been up in the air for this season and we have been waiting for some additional information before posting an update.  I have also changed the information below so there is no conflict. We have added two "club" races.  These races are for high school teams or individuals that are not able to compete with their school at the time of our event.  We understand that Friday morning is more of a burden than Saturday morning, but with eight races on Saturday morning and seven races Friday afternoon there is just no other time for us to fit in two more races. Please see the updated race schedule below.

All other races remain at the same time.  We have been calculating the numbers and can fit enough teams across our start line with appropriate spacing at the start. In addition, we will be implementing a host of other new guidelines for pre and post race.  Those are forthcoming.

If at any time, you have a specific question please feel free to reach out directly to me at zimm@centralfloridasports.com.

Marc Zimmerman, flrunners.com Invitational Meet Director

Welcome to the FLRunners.com Invitational 21!

The largest cross country meet in Florida is back at Holloway Park for the fourth year. Please read through the information below.

Because of the nature of this event, there will not be an onsite coaches meeting. All information will be sent via email. Please make sure that you have an email listed for both coaches

if your school has separate boys and girls coaches.

*** All high schools MUST be members of their states association in order to compete ***

You may run up to ten (10) in the Varsity races. PLEASE return your chips immediately after your race to the same area that you picked them up. When you pick up your packet please make sure you have all your chips and bibs for your athletes.

Participation in the ROC is by invitation only. Approximately 25 teams will be invited to participate.

Jason Byrne Invitational:

Participation in the JBI is by invitation of teams that pre-select the "Elite Races" during registration. Approximately 30 teams will be assigned to the JBI. The race committee will communicate with teams on the appropriate division.

Unseeded:

The unseeded race is selected by the coach during registration, however, the race committee will communicate with teams if they feel the coach has selected a race that is not germane to their level.

Friday Morning Club Races:

There will be two races. One for boys and one for girls.  These are open to individuals and teams that cannot compete with their designated high school at the time of this meet.

Friday Afternoon Races:

Participation in the Friday races is selected by the coach during the registration process.

"B Teams":

Teams will be allowed to enter "B" teams in the Friday races or the Unseeded Race by selecting those races during the registration process.  If you are interested in having a "B" team in the Jason Byrne Invitational you will need to directly email the Meet Director for approval.

Race of Champions:

All individuals invited to participate in the ROC will be done so by the Selection Committee. There is no need to email the Race Director to let us know that an athlete is interested. We will contact you if they are invited. **New this year- Individuals who run under 16:00 boys/19:00 girls will automatically qualify for the ROC.**
