Registration:You are NOT registering your athletes on this
page. It is simply a page used for communication.The
official entries for each district meet are the ones that should have been
submitted through Home Campus (which were due on 10/19). If you did
that,Half-Mile timing should be all covered as Scott Peters at Half-Mile

***You are allowed to have up
to 10 runners in the girls' race and 10 runners in the boys' race***
4.5.1.1 Competition
Rules.
8-5. A varsity level cross country team must be composed of five (5) to seven
(7) runners. A cross country team on the junior varsity level or below may be
allowed an unlimited number of runners unless otherwise restricted by the meet
director. However, only the first seven (7) runners on each team may enter into
scoring. During the regular season and district meets (not the regional or
state championship meets), meet directors/managers will have the option to
allow up to 10 runners in a varsity race. Any team member who finishes beyond
7th in the team standing shall not count towards scoring in the team or
individual race, shall not displace any opposing runner in individual score and
shall not receive any individual awards during the competition.

*Race day details: (There will be an event going on at the church. Be mindful
of a little traffic here or there.)
-Coaches' meeting: 7:15 am
-Girls' race: 7:30 am
-Boys' race: 8:00 am
-Awards: shortly after the boys' race
*Awards:Championship/ Runner up teams will receive a trophy,
and there will be ribbons for the top 15 girls and top 15 boys.
*Qualification to regionals:
4.5.2.2.4 Advancement of
Teams and Individuals:(a) District Meet to Regional Meet:The firstthree(3)placing teams and the topfour (4) placing individuals who are not members
of an advancing teamshall
advance to the regional meet. A "team" is defined as having five (5)
or more runners on the starting line and competing. A runner who
qualifiesasa member of a qualifying team may be replaced in the team lineup
by a substitute. The substitute, however, shall not be eligible for individual
honors on any subsequent level of competition.
*Course preview:This will take
place on Thursday, October 29th from 3:30- 5 pm at SFCA (Southwest Florida
Christian Academy- 3750 Colonial Blvd).
Coaches are responsible for their athletes while previewing the course. Course
maps will be provided.
*Rain/inclement weather alternate date:The race will take
place later in the day if need be since it is on a Saturday.
*Course admission (per FHSAA):$6 per person / FHSAA state
series pass allowed at pass gate
*Safety Precautions / other
details:
1. Spectators will be required
to have their temperatures checked in their vehicles while entering the gated
spectator entrance area. A temperature of 100.4 and higher will not be allowed
in the meet. Spectators will receive a wrist band indicating they have paid the
parking fee and have had their temperatures checked. Spectators will then be
allowed to park and enter the race area.
2. Coaches will be responsible
for taking the temperatures of their athletes and filling out a form before
teams enter the race area (This form will be sent out prior to the meet).
Athletes that have a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed to
compete.Note: If teams are traveling separately, then the athlete will
have to get his or her temperature taken by the coach upon arrival at the meet.
The coach will NOT be able to receive the packet until EVERY athlete has had
his or her temperature checked and the form is filled out completely by the
coach vouching for his or her athletes.Coaches will give the filled out
form to the volunteers at the gate when the team enters/once all of the
temperatures are checked. Then, the coaches will receive their team packet once
they have turned the filled out sheet in to the volunteer.

3. Teams will find their marked
out team tent area on the baseball field distanced from other teams.
4. If spectators and athletes
are unable to social distance at the meet, we recommend a face mask to be worn.
Masks are not required at the starting line.
5. Runners will be starting in
starting boxes that are 6 feet wide. Between each 6 ft wide box will be a 2-3
ft extra gap space for further social distancing precautions. Runners will all
start at the same time in their respective races due to the number of teams and
runners for varsity and JV races.Runners will be allowed to the
starting line 10 min prior to the start.
6. Teams will only be allowed
to enter a max of 10 varsity boys and10 varsity girls.
7. Each team will receive two
wrist bands for two designated coaches to be allowed at the finish line to help
athletes. We will have individual bottled water being passed out by volunteers.
8. We will be having an awards
ceremony that will be social distanced after the boys' race
