JT Memorial XC NIGHT race - 5th Annual 2024

This course IS NOT THE REGIONAL course. 

Thank you for your interest in the 5th Annual Julius "J.T." Tharp Memorial Cross-Country Invitational hosted by Gateway High School. J.T. was a great coach in the county for years. He taught defense on multiple basketball teams around the county for over 15 years. He sadly died of cancer in October of 2019. This event is dedicated to him because of his tireless dedication to bettering Osceola counties' student athletes, increasing parent involvement and his general love of all sports.  He was a role model and mentor to the youth of the county.  Julius was a hard-working individual who also loved to have fun. With that being said we have designed a course that is fun, fast and run at night, making it that much more interesting! 

Varsity races will be run under the lights after sunset. All participants will receive glow sticks and there is a best team spirit award and best costume award! Team trophies will glow in the dark! . Teams will be camping along the edge of the football field away from the stadium seating. This course is a fast double-loop course around the lighted fields. 

The Parking fee is $5 at the stadium entrance collected by the facility. This does cause a small back up in traffic, please make your parents aware. There is a $5 parent and $2 student gate fee. All fees are cash only due.  Under 12 is free. The course is fully open to spectators as long as they stay off the running course (fence line).
