5:30 pm Check-in/CHIP Pick-up
5:45 pm Coaches Meeting
6:25 pm Girls JV Race 5k
6:50 pm Boys JV Race 5k
7:15 pm Girls Varsity Race 5k
7:40 pm Boys Varsity Race 5k
8:05 pm Girls Elite Race 5k*
8:30 pm Boys Elite Race 5k*
9:00 pm Awards
*The Elite race will host the Top 15 seeded teams
TIMING: Again this year, 1st Place Sports will provide chip timing for ALL competitors, varsity and JV.
FEE:
$45 Per Varsity Team
$80 Total for both Boys & Girls Teams
$25 Per JV Team with no Varsity
*JV Free with Varsity Team*
Teams in the Elite and Varsity races will be able to field 10 runners. Only the top 5 runners will be scored, and only the top 7 runners will be counted for displacement in the team scores.
The JV race is unlimited entry and starting positions will be on a first come first served basis.
ALL RACES, Elite, Varsity and JV, will be chipped timed. Athletes and coaches are responsible for returning chips in the available bins following the conclusion of each race.
Teams missing chips will be billed by the timing company, 1st Place Sports.
The course will be WELL LIT for easy navigation. The course will be the BK stadium Course. This year we will host a new variation of the stadium course. It will provide a wider starting line, a new wooded section, and the ability to run races on a rolling schedule. As always this course will be fast when dry and very spectator friendly.
Awards: Plaques will be given to the individual winner of each of the six races, and to the team winner & runner up of the six races. Ribbons will given to the top 20 Finishers in each of the six races.
A $3.00 admission for all adults and teens will be collected. Revenues will benefit the Katie Caples Scholarship Foundation.
Course Availability: Due to an over abundance of on campus athletic events, the Bishop Kenny 5k course WILL NOT be available for course runs prior to Saturday September 17th, 2011. The course will be opened Saturday afternoon prior to the first race for warm-ups and run throughs, but will not be available until then.
