As FSU prepares for their Rose Bowl game against Oregon, we flashback to last year at this time when the Noles were in the National Championship game against Auburn. Kerrison Let's Hurdle Talent Speak For Itself: Heading To South Florida To Join Hurricanes Todd Grasley Jan 14, 2014

Stefani Kerrison isn't a big talker. Even when I asked her some questions for this story, short responses were all I had to work with. The Jones senior lets her performances on the track do the talking for her. As a junior, she won the state championship in the 100 meter hurdles; her first year doing the event. She set a personal best of 13.86, but improved that mark in postseason competition, running a state leading time of 13.56 at the USATF National Junior Olympics. The success has paid off in terms of a college scholarship. Kerrison initially thought she would be headed to Clemson, but after a trip to in-state schools Florida State and the University of Miami she had a change of heart.

Holy Kermit! Whitfield's Speed Propels FSU To National Title Todd Grasley Jan 7, 2014

As I was watching the National Championship with FSU trailing in the 4th quarter, I thought to myself if the kickoff lands in Kermit's hands he could break the big one. Levonte "Kermit" Whitfield was one of the top sprinters in Florida and in the nation a year ago and that speed was on display in Pasadena. Whitfield caught the ball in the endzone and brought it the length of the field, 100 yards, to put the Seminoles ahead 27-24 with a little over four minutes remaining in the game. Take a look at this awesome kick return and take a trip down memory lane as we look Whitfield's high school track and field days!
