Lisa Ringer was on-site at the Baker Indoor/Outdoor Challenge and snapped hundreds of photos including this one of the school's 4x400m relay team and son Ryan Ringer all smiles after their race and helping the team to an overall runner-up finish in the standings.
We start off our Salute to Seniors with Baker's Luis Colon. Colon, made the state in the 110 hurdles in 2016 and was a regional qualifier in both the 110's and 300m hurdles five times! He will continue his running career at the University of Central Arkansas in the fall.

It was boys night at the Fort Myers Edison Relays. Ida Baker edged out host Fort Myers for the team title. Cory Mull has a recap of all the action!
Lakewood Ranch girls cruised to a 3A Region 3 title at Leto High School in Tampa Wednesday, out-pacing Golden Gate 77 to 44. Estero was third with 40. On the boys side, Sarasota edged Ida S. Baker 40 to 39 with Armwood, Hillsborough and Jefferson tied with 37. Middleton's Shug Rhynes swept the sprints with impressive marks of 10.37w and 21.67w respectively s hewhile Samson Moore proves he is back in the hurdles. In the girl's 1600m run four girls battled it out with Emily Harding of Sarasota edging out Estero's Katie Slater 5:03.60 to 5:03.80.
The team titles on paper were determined well before the gun went off on a great day at Mariner High School. The Lemon Bay girls were predicted to win by 34 points and the Ida Baker Boys were to win by 42. Both teams held true to form.
Can anyone catch Leon and Mizereck? Can Plant upset George Jenkins in Region 2? Can Seminole find the bodies to fill out its top five or will Ida Baker roll in Region 3? Will it be Satellite or 'Chobee in the title bout in Region 4? I don't know all the answers, but here's how it looks going in...
