XC Spotlight: Michael Kennedy - Pine Crest School Todd Grasley Aug 18, 2015

Pine Crest junior Michael Kennedy was fifth in the 3,200m at the 2A state championship this spring. On the cross country course, he boasts a 16:21.00 personal best set at the Cross Country Finals where he was 9th. Kennedy, who guided Pine Crest to a runner-up team trophy last fall, talked to us about the upcoming season, and some of his favorite things off the course.

Chiles senior Emma Tucker is the 9th best returner in 3A and owns a personal best 5k time of 18:44.20 which earned her a third place showing at the state meet in 2014. Tucker is one of the top runners on a Timberwolves team that looks to bring home a team title as well!

After a track season that saw her win a state championship in both the 800 and 1,600m run, Johnson will look to join a select group to dip under 18 minutes.
