This just in from Alabama... Episcopal's (NTN SE #3) girls beat out Midlothian, Virginia (NTN SE #2) for the victory! Floridians all over rejoice!
The Episcopal girls finished the season ranked #2 in the Southeast last year and returned all 7 runners for the 2006 season. Despite that, the preseason rankings dropped the girls to #4. They managed to move up one slot to #3 after a perfect 15 performance at Katie Caples, but still trailed behind Midlothian and Elenore Roosevelt.
With the big win over nationally ranked competition, perhaps now NTN will give them the ranking that Floridians have been clamoring for all month!
