JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of North Florida Cross Country teams will kick off their cross country season on the UNF Nature Trails with 110% as their sponsor.
The Ospreys will open the 2013 season hosting the 110% Cross Country Invitational at UNF. The event is open to college and high school teams as well as unattached athletes. The race will began at the UNF Golfplex and will run through nearly two miles of nature trails on campus.
Packet-pickup starts at 6:30 AM at the golf course and the races will begin at 7:30AM.
110% CEO David Green, a local ultra-marathoner sees this event as an opportunity to support the community, as well as, the “future of running.”
“We are thrilled to support these young runners and our community. We believe teaching the importance of maintaining health through consistent recovery cannot start early enough in a runners’ career! We look forward to helping make this event an annual success that brings together nationwide running talent on a fantastic course,” said Green.
Athletes and spectators will be able to try 110%’s COMPRESSION + Ice after the race and runners will have the chance to win free gear.
