
When Clayton Washburn won the pole vault in the pouring rain at the 4A state championship last year it sealed the deal for Olympia to claim the team title. It also ended a three year run by St. Thomas Aquinas. The Raiders' girls won, but the boys finished as the 4A runner-up. This year Coach Armenteros' squad is poised to take back the trophy. Rasheed Tatham along with a strong distace group that won the 4A Cross Country Finals team championship, put them as the favorites in 2014. Olympia, Blanche Ely, Miramar, and Spruce Creek should all battle it out for the second spot on the podium.
