Florida's Elite 10 XC Girls Countdown

4. Julie Wollrath (Melbourne High School) - Sr. - 18:11.69

As a junior, Wollrath won her opening meet, finished second at Katie Caples, and then won a very competitive UF Mt. Dew Invitational. Following that, she tallied a top 20 finish at Great American in North Carolina and a fourth place showing at the FSU Invitational/Pre-State in a season best time of 18:11.69. She was once again district and regional champ and for the third straight year the 1A state champion. She ran under 18:30 in five of eight of her races. It seems like we've been watching Julie run for years and 2014 is her swan song. It is her last year. However, some things have changed. After opting to not run track this spring, Wollrath has transferred to 3A Melbourne High School. Gone is the navy and gold of Holy Trinity and replaced with green and white. No matter what school or what classification she is in you can't take away her state titles and have to consider a contender for another ring.
