5. Sarah Candiano (Evangelical Christian School) - Sr. - 18:18.10
Sarah Candiano is the top returner in 1A after the departue of Julie Wollrath to 3A Melbourne. Candiano was the 1A runner-up in 2012 and finished 7th in 2013. The Evangelical Christian senior is coming off a very impressive track season where won the 1,600m title in 5:04.79 and followed that up with a sub five minute, 4:59.35 1,600m at the Holy Trinity All-Star Showdown. Candiano was third at the state meet in the 3,200m. She has been training hard this summer with her ECS teammates as well as with the 3D Running Club. Just this past weekend she won the Estero Fast Cat 5k in 18:25.50 and it's only the middle of August!
